What is Pips puzzle game?

Pips is a logic-based domino puzzle game where you place domino tiles on a grid to satisfy mathematical conditions in colored regions. Each region has specific requirements that must be met using the pip values on the dominoes.

How do I play?

1. Select a difficulty: Choose Easy, Medium, or Hard
2. Rotate dominoes: Click/tap a domino to rotate it between horizontal and vertical orientations
3. Place dominoes: Drag dominoes from the bottom area onto the game board
4. Satisfy regions: Each colored region shows a number or symbol that indicates what condition must be met
5. Complete the puzzle: Place all dominoes so that every region's condition is satisfied

What do the region symbols mean?

Region indicators show different mathematical requirements:

• Numbers 5 7 12: The sum of all pips in the region must equal this number
• Equals =: All domino pips in the region must have the same value
• Greater than >10: The sum must be greater than the specified number
• No restrictions: Regions with black dashed borders and white backgrounds have no restrictions and accept any domino placement

Gameplay

Can I remove placed dominoes?

Yes! Click on any placed domino on the board to remove it and return it to the available dominoes area. You can also use the "Clear" button to remove all dominoes at once.

Is there a time limit?

No time limit! The timer tracks your solving speed for personal achievement, but you can take as long as you need. You can also pause the timer using the pause button next to the timer display.

What's the difference between difficulty levels?

• Easy: Smaller puzzles with simpler region constraints and fewer dominoes
• Medium: More complex region arrangements with moderate constraints
• Hard: Larger puzzles with multiple overlapping regions and complex mathematical requirements

Can I get hints?

Yes! Use the "Reveal" button to see the complete solution for the current puzzle. This will show you the correct placement and orientation for all dominoes.

Technical

Does the game work on mobile devices?

Yes! Pips Puzzle is designed to work on both desktop computers and mobile devices. On mobile, you can tap to rotate dominoes and drag to place them.

Do you collect my data?

No! Pips Puzzle runs entirely in your browser with no data collection, registration, or external server communication. Your game progress is only stored locally in your browser.

Are there unlimited puzzles?

Yes! The game randomly selects from a collection of hand-crafted puzzles for each difficulty level, providing virtually unlimited gameplay variety.
