Introduction: One of the most charming little goals in Tiny Bookshop is feeding the stray dog that hangs around the Waterfront. It is not as simple as walking up with food — you first have to befriend the local fisherman and unlock the Fish Market. Here is the full walkthrough.

Find the Dog

Set up your shop at the Waterfront and scroll all the way to the far right of the screen. The stray dog lingers near the edge of the area — that is who you are working toward feeding.

Befriend Walt the Fisherman

After a few in-game days selling books at the Waterfront, you will meet Walt, a friendly fisherman on the left side of the square. Talk to him regularly to build your relationship; that is what unlocks his quests.

Complete Walt's Quests

You need to finish both of Walt's challenges — Show Off Your Catch and Ship Happens. Completing them is what grants you access to the Fish Market, which is the only place to get the dog's food.

Unlock the Fish Market

Once both quests are done, Walt invites you to visit the Waterfront Square on a Wednesday to experience the Fish Market. This is the weekly window where you can shop for fresh fish.

Buy Fish & Feed the Dog

At the market, Walt offers Raw Fish for about 12 coins — the perfect snack for the stray. Buy it, walk over to the dog, interact, and choose the option to feed it the fish. That is all it takes to win over your new four-legged friend.
