All Maps in Meccha Chameleon

There are six maps for you to explore and play on in Meccha Chameleon, listed below. Each map rewards a different hiding style, so learning the layouts gives both Chameleons and Hunters a real edge.

Best Backrooms Hiding Places

The Backrooms is a homage to the Backrooms games, complete with the off-yellow wallpaper, office space, multiple random objects, and plenty of trash. There are a handful of locations you can explore and hide in on this map, giving you a good range of choices when you're playing as a Chameleon.

  • Living Chairs & Ladders: A good location is the cluster of living chairs, ladders, and drawers. These are good places to hide and use the shadows to your advantage.
  • Trash Corners: There are several corners with trash thrown against the wall. You can try to wiggle your way into these spots and blend in with the trash.
  • Office Space: A notable spot for Chameleons to hide, and for Hunters to check, is the multiple office space corners. These areas can be tricky to fit in, but a Chameleon can; it might be tough for a Hunter to pick them out.
  • Birthday Party Hallway: Another small area is the birthday party hallway, with several cakes and balloons. A Chameleon might hide here as a balloon or use the chairs to their advantage.
  • Broken Highway: Finally, another good area to check is the broken highway and police cars, as some players have hidden here, under the police car lights or alongside these vehicles. There's also a small space to hide behind the broken road.

Best Hide-and-Seek Mansion Hiding Places

The Hide-and-Seek Mansion is a hectic location, with a fancy party in the middle, a study and storage closet off to the side, and plenty of small rooms for you to hide. It's easy to get lost here, and you can use it to your advantage!

  • Main Ballroom: A great place to hide, but it might be a little obvious. You can choose to look like a balloon, hide in the corners, on the ceiling, or underneath any of the chairs.
  • Study Library: Off to the side, you have a full study library, with plenty of chairs, bookcases, and objects for you to hide. Rely on the shadows and play with colors!
  • Storage Room: There's a storage room next to a trash area, offering plenty of loose objects for you to hide behind.
  • Final Room: Across from the bathroom, it's a mixture between the storage room and the study, with bookcases, chairs, and vases.

Best Indoor Country Hiding Places

The Indoor Country map is a room that's made to replicate an outdoor barnyard landscape, with stand-in cows, horse statues, hay bales, and pumpkins.

  • Treasure Chest Corner: There's a good area in one of the corners with a treasure chest that has plenty of hay bales, pumpkins, and green containers.
  • Horse Statues: You can try getting on their back and blending against them, or use the pumpkins in the corner.
  • Pumpkin Patch: A fairly large pumpkin patch that you can try to hide in. Pretend to be a smaller pumpkin or use the fence and dirt.
  • Hay Bales: Close to the pumpkin patch is a massive pile of hay bales that you can try hiding in or against.
  • Balloons: The balloons at the center line the top and might be a good spot if you can get the colors just right.

Best Penguin Hotel Hiding Places

The Penguin Hotel is a massive complex with multiple objects scattered throughout each room.

  • Penguin Ballroom: This center area is hectic and chaotic, offering plenty of locations to hide, from balloons to penguin plushies and statues.
  • Upper Floor: Offers additional hiding spots like tables, statues, and large blocks of dice.
  • Side Room (Plushes): Covered in penguin plushes. You can try to blend in with these plushes or against the bookcases.
  • Bedroom: You can try hiding underneath the bed, in the bathroom, or use the plushes and desk.
  • Hallways: There are a handful of objects and colors in these hallways that might make it a worthwhile hiding spot.

Best Sewer Hiding Places

An underground area with trash everywhere. The poor lighting can be used to your advantage.

  • Center Area: Large pile of canisters against a wall, trash bins nearby, and sandbags holding up a box.
  • Tea-pot Area: Off-color lighting can make this a suitable spot; be creative with your pose.
  • Locker Room: Lockers and open drawers can be a great spot; use the lighting above your head to hide.
  • Flooded Area: Multiple bins and concrete blocks with graffiti. Lean against canisters or get creative with the graffiti.
  • Pipes & Vending Machines: Gas barrels and vending machines. Try sticking to the ceiling or pressing against a pipe.

Best Sugar Land Hiding Places

Sugar Land is a larger-than-life candy land with gum drops, gingerbread crackers, and bright colors.

  • Candy Houses & Chocolate Hill: Good locations to hide, especially if you use taller heights to your advantage.
  • Gumdrops & Candy Mountains: Hide alongside piles of gumdrops or against the candy mountains using shadows.
  • Locker Corner: Use the higher angle to your advantage or stick closer to the ground next to candy rocks.
  • White Cake & Tree: Try hiding up against the tree, lying down under branches, or as a strawberry on the cake.
  • Gingerbread Houses: Hide on top of these buildings or between them.
Chameleon Tip

Across every map, the best hiding spots come down to three things: matching the color of nearby objects, using shadows and off-color lighting to break up your silhouette, and picking a pose that mimics props like balloons, pumpkins, or plushies. Hunters should sweep corners, ceilings, and under furniture first — those are the spots Chameleons rely on most.
