Arena 2 is where defense becomes more structured. Tombstone automatically spawns skeletons to distract troops, while Bomb Tower deals area damage to swarms. You'll also face your first really devastating cards like Balloon and Giant Skeleton. Learning to counter these while using your new tools is key to progression.

Why This Deck Works

Giant Skeleton is a beast in Arena 2! His death bomb wipes out entire pushes, making him an incredible defensive card. After defending, he becomes a devastating counter-push threat. Tombstone provides constant skeleton spawns for defense and distraction.

How to Play

  • Defensive Giant Skeleton: Use him to defend big pushes. His bomb will eliminate surviving troops
  • Counter-Push: If Giant Skeleton survives defense, support him with Baby Dragon and Musketeer
  • Tombstone Value: Place Tombstone in center to pull troops and spawn skeletons constantly
  • Spell Usage: Fireball clusters of troops, Arrows for swarms
  • Tower Defense: Let Giant Skeleton bomb take out pushes near your tower - just make sure tower doesn't take too much damage first
Pro Tip: Giant Skeleton's bomb has a 3-second fuse. Try to position him so the bomb explodes right as enemy troops reach your tower!

Why This Deck Works

Balloon deals massive damage to towers if it connects - often taking down a full-HP tower in 2-3 hits! Many Arena 2 players don't have good anti-air, making Balloon dominant. Use Giant as a tank while Balloon flies overhead.

How to Play

  • Giant + Balloon: Your main push. Place Giant, then Balloon behind him. Giant tanks while Balloon bombs tower
  • Timing: Attack when opponent uses their anti-air troops (Musketeer, Baby Dragon) on defense
  • Arrow Preemption: Predict Minions/Minion Horde and use Arrows before they kill Balloon
  • Defense: Tombstone for ground, Musketeer for air, Mini P.E.K.K.A for tanks
  • Death Damage: Even if Balloon doesn't reach tower, death damage still hurts!
Pro Tip: If opponent has Musketeer, wait for them to use it, THEN push with Balloon. Without Musketeer, Balloon is very hard to stop in Arena 2!

Why This Deck Works

Witch constantly spawns skeletons, creating constant pressure. Combined with Tombstone, you always have units on the field. The dual defensive buildings (Tombstone + Bomb Tower) make your defense nearly impenetrable in Arena 2.

How to Play

  • Building Advantage: Place Tombstone and/or Bomb Tower. They defend while spawning/attacking
  • Witch Support: Place Witch behind Giant. Her skeletons + Giant = difficult to defend
  • Defend First: Use buildings to defend, then counter-push with Giant + Witch
  • Spell Value: Save Arrows for enemy swarms attacking your Witch
  • Building Cycling: Always have a building active. They provide so much value
Pro Tip: Place Tombstone in the center to pull troops away from both towers. This is especially effective against Prince and Mini P.E.K.K.A!

Arena 2 Strategy Tips

Mastering Buildings

  • Center Placement: Place buildings 3-4 tiles from river in center. This pulls troops to the middle, allowing both towers to shoot
  • Kiting: Use buildings to pull Prince, Giant, etc. away from your tower while they attack the building
  • Always Active: Try to always have a building alive. Constant pressure/defense
  • Tombstone Timing: Place before enemy reaches bridge to spawn maximum skeletons

Countering New Threats

  • vs Balloon: Musketeer, Archers, or Baby Dragon. Never let it reach tower uncontested
  • vs Giant Skeleton: Don't surround him! Use ranged units and back away before bomb explodes
  • vs Witch: Fireball or Mini P.E.K.K.A. Her skeletons die to splash damage
  • vs Tombstone: Don't waste big troops on it. Let it spawn and clean up skeletons with spells or splash
Meta Tip: Balloon is extremely strong in Arena 2 because most players lack adequate air defense. If you're struggling, add Musketeer + Archers to your deck!

New Cards to Master

Tombstone (3 Elixir - Building)

Best Use: Central defensive building that spawns skeletons. Excellent for pulling and distracting troops. Lasts 40 seconds, providing incredible value.

Upgrade Priority: Medium - The skeleton level matters, but placement is more important

Bomb Tower (4 Elixir - Building)

Best Use: Area damage defensive building. Destroys swarms and damages grouped troops. Great against Skeleton Army, Minions, etc.

Upgrade Priority: Medium - More damage = better splash clearing

Giant Skeleton (6 Elixir - Tank)

Best Use: Defensive powerhouse. His death bomb wipes out pushes. Can be used offensively but shines on defense.

Upgrade Priority: High - Bomb damage scales significantly with levels

Balloon (5 Elixir - Win Condition)

Best Use: Air win condition with massive tower damage. Pair with tank. Death damage even if shot down.

Upgrade Priority: Very High - This is a primary win condition if you use it

Witch (5 Elixir - Support)

Best Use: Spawns skeletons and splash damage. Great support behind tanks. Decent on defense too.

Upgrade Priority: High - Skeleton spawn rate and damage increase with level
